The Contra Costa Economic Partnership (CCEP) has presented an array of Contra Costa STEM Summer Camps since 2004.  Camps are made possible through industry sponsorships and collaboration with business, higher education and key educational institutions in Contra Costa.

Focused on industry sectors in the East Bay which are in high demand and offer careers that are high-skill and high-wage, the STEM Summer Camps are for high school students and teachers who receive Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) enrichment opportunities each summer.

The summer camp experiences allow students and teachers alike to explore theory and practice in week-long curriculum that blends hands-on exploration, field visits in industry, problem-solving and expert viewpoints combined with college campus exposure and college credit.

Registration for 2013 summer camps will begin in mid-March 2013 and the dates listed are tentative. The activities of the 2012 Camp programs are still listed. Select a camp of your interest to view their programs:

ABOUT THE CCEP:

CCEP is a coalition of East Bay business, government and education leaders dedicated to creating and retaining quality jobs for the region. The nonprofit economic development corporation manages the STEM Workforce Pipeline Initiative and, through The Initiative, serves as an intermediary in the East Bay . Its role is to convene, connect, measure and sustain bridging activities between business and education in an effort to secure a workforce pipeline into STEM careers in the regional economy. The vision of the Workforce Initiative is to accomplish this through the creation of a seamless system of transition for students from high school to purposeful post-secondary education and training without remediation, connected to STEM career fields based primarily in our local economy.
